Company History The Royal Farms legacy began in 1959 when its parent company, Cloverland Dairy, opened its first White Jug” store in Baltimore, Maryland. At the time, home delivery of milk products was being replaced by the availability of these products in large grocery stores. The White Jug” store was a convenient location for customers to pick up the dairy products that had formerly been delivered to their homes. Over the years, the stores began selling other convenience items to their customers. As the industry evolved, the name changed to Royal Farm Stores, and then to Royal Farms. Today, Royal Farms has become a regional powerhouse with over 240 stores in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New Jersey. Royal Farms has developed its own brand of quality fresh foods, while continuing a tradition of selling dairy products, core convenience items, and fuel products. D’Mya D’Mya has been employed with Royal Farms for just over one year, she works as a Customer Service Leader at one of our Baltimore locations. D’Mya was hired as a Customer Service associate and was promoted after being employed for 8 months. Congratulations to D’Mya for winning our employee giveaway! Every employee in good standing was eligible to receive entries into the sweepstakes. She was able to choose between either $25,000 cash or a 2021 Ford Mustang or Edge SUV. D’Mya took the cash option and she said she plans to use the money to help her mother move into a better house. Food Service Leader: Brandy Clark Brandy started her career with Royal Farms in May 2012 as a Customer Service Associate in Queen Anne Maryland. Brandy has spent some time as an Assistant Store Leader and was promoted to a Food Service Leader in October 2020. After working at a few different locations, Brandy has found her home in Chestertown. As a Food Service Leader, Brandy is responsible for all areas of food service in our Deli. Brandy said she enjoys her time as a Food Service Leader the most. What do you like most about Royal Farms? Brandy enjoys being able to interact with customers each day and serve them quality food that makes them happy. Brandy likes that Royal Farms shows care and concern for their employees and offers her flexible scheduling. She feels she has a good working relationship with her team. What do you like to do in your spare time? Outside of Royal Farms, Brandy cherishes the time she gets to spend with her spouse and children. Food Service Leader: Tamia Smith Tamia just celebrated her 9 year anniversary on December 4th. She started out as a Customer Service Associate and moved up to a Shift Leader in 2019. She was recently promoted again to a Food Service Leader at one of our Baltimore stores. While Tamia has worked at other companies during her tenure with Royal Farms, she has never left and continues to enjoy her time at Royal Farms. What do you like most about Royal Farms? What I like most about Royal Farms are my co-workers. I like the customers, of course, but my co-workers are what keeps me moving.” Tamia said, Royal Farms is a great job if you serve the customer, keep products in stock and do more cleaning than leaning.” What do you like to do in your spare time? Tamia says she is a homebody when she is not working, she enjoys being a mom to her 9 year old or just watching a dramatic movie on TV. What are our employees saying?
